Just received a call from this number. I frequently get calls (2 & 3 times daily) from "Out of Area." This has been going on for months even though I screen and never answer that call. This one suckered me in with the private caller in the ID and the 262 (Waukesha, WI) area code. Now, I know better and hope I recognize the number next time. I will be more carefully screening my calls from now on!

Male caller to my home phone at 6:58 am asked for someone by name and said he was from "Northwest". Hung up when asked for the last name of the person he was supposedly trying to reach.

They called and told me my subscription to "Discover" magazine had expired. They said that I was a special customer and offered me free gifts if I buy a three year subscription. I deal was good only today, so I gave them my Credit card info. At the end of the conversation they told me they were an outfit called Buisness Subscriber. They gave me a name and phone number to call in case I have any questions. I called Discover Magazine to conffirm my purchase and they told me that i was scammed They had no affliation with that telemarketer. So beware. The telemarketer is in Scottsdaie, AZ. Phone rings twice but there is never anybody there. Tried calling back, nothing but a disconnect.

They left an automated message at my last place of employment stating that I have a returned check on my account, and that I need to call them back. First off, leaving messages to people other than the person they are seeking is illegal. They were told to refrain from calling, but still do. They were told to mail that person whatever it is they need. What should I do.
